Insane fun, a terrific adventure, a fantastic view with lots of colorful flowers, beautiful hummingbirds, and fascinating trees describes Mystic Mountain pretty well. The chairlift takes you high above “Ochi”, the nickname of Ocho Rios.
Once at the top, you can learn about Jamaica's rum history in the open-air museum. The famous first Jamaican bobsled team and all the other Jamaican Olympians are also wonderfully told here. On top of that, you can buy jewelry handmade by talented Jamaican artists.
If you are an animal lover, there is a small hummingbird garden where you can sit on a bench and watch the animals for hours.
Do you know the movie Cool Runnings? It's about a bobsled team from Jamaica, based on a true story. In fact, the first Jamaican bobsled team competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics. They didn't win a medal and finished last, but they became the absolute winners of all hearts. And you can experience this huge fun and action on the wooden bobsled track in the middle of the jungle. Really ingenious!
Climbers and adventurers can let off steam in the high ropes climbing park, on a climbing wall, and zip-lining. Do you want to let your adrenaline really shoot up? You can do that in the Raggamuffin, a kind of chairlift roller coaster. If you want something with more horsepower, the quads are waiting for you. The infinity pool with a water slide and a magnificent view is quieter and more relaxed, but equal fun.
For the way down, you have two options: either you go down completely with the chairlift, or you walk to the middle station with a guide and then drive the rest. We opted to hike half, and that was really awesome. Because as you wander through the jungle, the guide explains to you all about the local flora and fauna. We don't recommend the trip if it's raining, as everything is open-air except for the restaurant and museum. Always book your visit in advance (at least 3 days) as this place is very popular. There is minimum one attraction for every fitness level. The only way up is via the chairlift, not recommended for those who fear heights. The tour is not suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.

Duration:
An organized tour for Mystic Mountains is super relaxing. There is no waiting in line at the ticket booth, and there is also a separate, faster line for the chairlift. If you want to do all the attractions, plan the whole day because time flies.
Cost:
A tour starts, depending on the package, at 50 US-Dollar and takes a minimum of 3 hours, including transportation. We recommend you book combination packages because you just get more for your money.

You can stay as long as you like within the opening hours, 8 am until 5 pm. Depending on the ticket, you have to arrive at the park by a specific time to do everything booked.
Cost:
The cheapest ticket, which is for Sky Explorer and Museum, costs around 50 US-Dollar, as soon as it may be a little more action, you should plan at least 130 US-Dollar.

The entrance is about a 15 minutes drive by minibus or cab from Ocho Rios downtown. The ride should cost around 6 US-Dollar. Just stand by the road for the return trip, and buses and cabs will stop. You could also walk there.
